Terms of Use

These Terms explain the rules for using QuietGuard and help set clear expectations for users, subscriptions and app access.

Important note

By downloading, installing, accessing, or using QuietGuard, you agree to these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.

Agreement to these terms

These Terms of Use apply to the QuietGuard mobile application and any related services provided in connection with the app.

Who provides QuietGuard

QuietGuard is published by Controlled Systems Group.

Licence to use the app

QuietGuard is licensed, not sold. Subject to these Terms, you are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the app for personal, family, professional, or other lawful use on compatible devices.

You may use the app only in accordance with these Terms and any applicable Google Play terms, device rules, and laws.

Permitted use

You may use QuietGuard to manage trusted calling behaviour, call filtering preferences, safety features, focus-related settings, and any other features made available in the app.

Prohibited use

You agree not to:

  • Use the app in any unlawful, harmful, fraudulent, or misleading way.
  • Attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, tamper with, or interfere with the app or its operation except where applicable law expressly allows it.
  • Attempt to bypass security, licensing, subscription, or feature restrictions.
  • Use the app in a way that interferes with the normal operation of a device, service, or network beyond the intended purpose of the app.
  • Use the app to violate the privacy, safety, or legal rights of any other person.

Subscriptions and payments

Some features of QuietGuard may be offered on a paid subscription basis.

Where subscriptions are offered through Google Play, billing, renewals, cancellations, refunds, and payment processing are handled through Google Play and are subject to Google's applicable terms and policies.

Any free trial, introductory period, pricing, or subscription terms displayed in the app or on Google Play form part of the offer presented to the user at the time of purchase.

Feature availability

QuietGuard may change, improve, suspend, or remove features from time to time in order to maintain security, improve the product, comply with platform requirements, or reflect product development.

Not all features may be available on all devices, Android versions, or territories.

Updates

QuietGuard may receive updates, upgrades, patches, fixes, or new versions from time to time. Some updates may be required for the app to continue functioning properly or securely.

Privacy

Your use of QuietGuard is also subject to the QuietGuard Privacy Policy. Please read that policy carefully to understand how information is handled in connection with the app.

Intellectual property

QuietGuard, including its name, branding, software, design, text, graphics, features, and related materials, is owned by or licensed to Controlled Systems Group and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws.

These Terms do not transfer any ownership rights to you.

Disclaimer

QuietGuard is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis to the fullest extent permitted by applicable law.

While every effort is made to provide a reliable and useful service, QuietGuard does not guarantee that the app will be uninterrupted, error-free, compatible with every device, or suitable for every user's circumstances.

Users remain responsible for reviewing their device settings, emergency accessibility needs, and whether the app is appropriate for their particular situation.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Controlled Systems Group will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, revenue, data, goodwill, or business opportunity arising out of or related to the use of, or inability to use, QuietGuard.

Nothing in these Terms excludes liability where liability cannot lawfully be excluded or limited under applicable law.

Termination

These Terms remain in effect until they are terminated by you or by Controlled Systems Group.

You may stop using the app at any time by uninstalling it.

Controlled Systems Group may suspend or terminate access to the app, or to certain features, where reasonably necessary for security, legal, technical, or misuse-related reasons.

Changes to these terms

These Terms of Use may be updated from time to time to reflect product changes, legal developments, or platform requirements.

The latest version will be published on this page with an updated effective date.

Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, unless another mandatory consumer protection law applies in the user's place of residence.
